Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

My name is Travis Luther, and I'm the founder of Porchlight Tales.

Like many people, I've collected a lifetime of memories, stories, lessons, and experiences that have stayed with me over the years. Some are funny. Some are meaningful. Some taught me lessons I didn't fully appreciate until much later in life. Many remind me of the people who helped shape who I am today.

For years, I've enjoyed listening to and sharing stories. I've come to believe that some of life's most valuable lessons aren't found in textbooks or speeches. They're found in ordinary moments, ordinary people, and everyday experiences.

The truth is, I've never considered myself much of a public speaker. Writing, however, gives me a way to share those stories in a more personal and thoughtful way. Through Porchlight Tales, I hope to preserve memories, pass along lessons learned, and encourage others through the power of storytelling.

The name Porchlight Tales comes from a simple image that many of us remember: gathering together at the end of the day, slowing down for a while, and sharing stories under the glow of a porch light. In a world that often feels rushed and noisy, I wanted to create a place where people could pause, reflect, and enjoy a good story.

While many of the stories you read here will come from my own experiences, I hope Porchlight Tales becomes much more than that. Some of the greatest stories are still untold, sitting quietly in the memories of people across America. That's why readers are encouraged to share their own stories, memories, lessons, and experiences as well.

My goal is simple:

To preserve meaningful stories, encourage others through life's lessons, and remind readers that faith, kindness, perseverance, family, and community still matter.

Whether you choose to read our stories, listen to them in audio format, or someday enjoy them in a printed publication, I hope each one leaves you a little encouraged and a little more hopeful than before.
